Sub-slab depressurization systems are installed in homes or businesses with slab flooring. The systems are made up of PVC Piping. A garage attic installation involves running the piping from the sub-slab radon collection point created in the slab to the garage where you will find the radon mitigation fan installed in the attic of the garage. From the fan there is a roof stack where the radon gas is expelled from the building through the roof of the garage. This is a common practice for homes so that the system is not externally visible.

The system works by creating a negative pressure under the home where the radon collection point is established. The radon fan that is mounted in the attic must run continuously in order for the system to work correctly to mitigate the radon from the home or building. From the radon collection point under the slab the radon gas is collected and the systems fan will suck the gas from under the home in the radon collection point and route the radon gas safely through the PVC piping up through the garage and through where the gas is then safely removed from the home exiting the systems roof stack.
